The Community Resource Program offers a combination of psychotherapeutic interventions with education, mental health programming, and substance abuse treatment. The objectives of this program include, but are not limited to the following: reducing juvenile incarceration by providing programs which promote positive behavior, encouraging academic success through tutoring and after school programs, and empowering parents to take more active, nurturing, and supportive roles in their children's lives in order to create more stable and healthy families.
Admission to the program can occur when the potential client meets a minimum of two (2) out of three (3) eligibility criterion. They are:
  1. The client must be at risk of hospitalization or out of home placement,
  2. The client must exhibit behavior requiring repeated interventions by local or state mental health agencies, social services, or the judicial system, and/or
  3. The client must exhibit difficulty in recognizing the consequences and dangers of their behavior pattern

Excluded from this service are individuals who are diagnosed with severe cognitive and/or developmental delays, as it is unlikely they would meet the service eligibility criteria. Termination from the program can occur due to non-compliance on the part of the client and/or family.
The following services will be provided:
-Cognitive Behavioral Programming
  • Reintegration programming for juveniles released from incarceration and back into/guardian custody.
-Psycho-educational Groups
  • Anger Management Programming
  • Academic tutoring
  • Reading for dyslexia and other challenges
-Individual Therapy
  • Weekly one-to-one counseling to assess and assist with the client's individual needs
-Group Therapy
  • Leadership and Social Skills
-Family Therapy
  • Parental Solutions Programming
